Murshidabad
The modest town of Murshidabad is
studded with most of legendary spots of Indian history. It was the capital
during the reign of Siraj-ud-Daula, the Nawab of Bengal and a flourishing
trading town.

- Hazaarduari Palace (Palace of Thousand Doors)
Hazaarduari Palace (Palace of Thousand Doors) : The Gothic style palace on the
banks of Bhagirathi was built in 1837. Today, it houses a museum, exhibiting a
rare collection of old arms, Nawab's silver throne, ivory sofa, ivory
palanquins, oil paintings Farahbag, Motijheel or the Pearl Lake, Katra Masjid and
JahanKosha cannon etc.
