Tourist Acctration in Around Netarhat
- Palamu (Betla) National Park
It lies about 140 kms. from Ranchi
and 25 kms. from Daltonganj and is one of the earliest tiger reserves of India.
The park sprawls over an area of 232 sq. kms. and is home to the tiger,
panther, sloth bear, wild bear, sambhar, nilgai, barking deer, mouse deer, gaur
and chital etc. Elephants can be mostly seen after the monsoons, up to the time
when water holes begin to dry up in March. The park is also dotted with
waterfalls, hot springs and historical monuments. Best season is from October -
November and February to March.
